Hope and Helps Ministry currently has over 100 pastors and Bible woman who are in need of our help to spread the gospel in India. The monetary exchange rate for a United States dollar bill is 45 rupees to one U.S. dollar. This gives the pastor you are assisting $45 dollars worth of buying power in India.
One dollar a day is all that is earned by day labor. A gift of $25, $30, $40 or even $50 a month to a pastor allows him, not only to feed his family, but to give food, clothing and in some cases, medicines to his church. Every day, we receive photographs or letters telling us of how the funds that our brothers received were used not just for themselves, but for the lambs and sheep in their flocks.
How wonderful that we can help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ for so little money. As stewards of God's money, should we not be giving as much as we can for His Kingdom?
One hundred percent (100%) of your donation will be sent to your pastor. Your address is not revealed for confidentiality. All correspondence comes through the Hope and Helps Ministry office. Letters and photographs from India will be forwarded either by postal mail or e-mail to your home.
You can build a relationship with an evangelist/pastor/Dad or Mom overseas helping them to take the good news to the lost. Building up for yourselves treasures in heaven ...

TRANSPORTATION NEEDS
Tricycles
Because of the blessed giving of people just like yourself, Hope and Helps Ministry, is able to supply tricycles to crippled lepers at the leper colonies we support in India. A tricycle costs $150, and are specially fitted for the needs of the lepers who have lost their fingers, toes, etc., because of this horrible disease.
Our Christian brothers and sisters who are lepers are given back their dignitity when they don't have to crawl around on the ground; or wait for someone to put them in a little cart to wheel them to prayer meetings. A tricycle becomes part of them, and allows them to get around by themselves, up off the ground. Words are hard to use to express the joy, thanksgiving and relief a tricycle brings to a leper.

Bicycles, Scooters and Motor Cycles
Most of our Gospel work goes on in remote, jungle-like areas of India. Taking the gospel from village to village by foot is usually how our pastors and Bible women get around. Our older brothers and sisters, and more mature in their faith, need our help to continue the work in India. A good, heavy duty bicycle costs $100. A scooter between $200 and $500. A Honda Hero Motorcycle - $1,200.
The people we help, your brothers and sisters-in-Christ, are too poor to buy these for themselves. You may consider buying several bicycles for one pastor, in order for his Team, to travel with him in outreach. This would make a great church, or yourth project, supplying transportation for our pastors and Bible women.

HELP WITH HOMES AND CHURCHES DAMAGED BY FLOODS
The 2006 monsoon rains brought unimaginable damage to many of our brethren's homes and churches. In some cases, everything was lost! We viewed films showing river water up to the roof tops of huts. Clothing and cooking utensiles floating away. If their children were attending school -- all the books and school supplies were gone.
If you are an American with a bank account and/or a credit card, some of these items can be quickly replaced. Our India people do not have that advantage. They don't have a reserve of cash they can dig into to replace things. By helping them during their times of great need -- we show the hindu in the nation of India, that American Christians love and care for the believers and will do anything, as we would our own flesh and blood to help! Helping them -- fulfills God's word that we are to love them as we love ourselves!

BORE WELLS
The cost to put a bore well on Christian-owned land in a remote village is $1,500. $1,500 is the cost to bring clean, sweet-tasting, life-giving, fresh water to our brothers and sisters and to the people they are reaching for Christ.

MEDICAL NEEDS
As we in the United States can't even imagine, the challenge of living in a third-world country. No medical insurance and/or medicare or medicaid is available to our brothers and sisters. To pay for a baby delivery or a disease that requires anti-biotics -- our brethren, in some instances, have to go to money-lenders. Money-lenders! Hope and Helps Ministry wants to be able to help with medical needs. Eye infections, diabeties, lung problems, malaria, can all be helped with funds from the United States. In the past, Hope and Helps Ministry has sent over medicines with missionaries traveling to our area. We would like to be able to send medical assistance on an as-needed basis. If you can help us set up a Medical Fund, please let us know.
